Moscow Polytechnic University representatives take part in the celebrations marking 75 years of Russia-Vietnam diplomatic relations

Representatives of Moscow Polytechnic University, including Vice-Rector for International Affairs Yulia Davydova and Head of International Directorate Alina Andrukh, participated in a ceremony organised by the Vietnamese Embassy to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam. The event took place in a spirit of mutual respect and underscored the significance of historical ties and strategic partnership between the two nations.
The event highlighted key aspects in the development of Russian-Vietnamese relations since the establishment of diplomatic connections in 1950. The distinguished guests in attendance, including Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation, Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for International Affairs, Nikolay Bondarenko, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian-Vietnamese Amity Society, engaged in a thoughtful discussion on significant achievements in education, science and culture, as well as prospects for further cooperation.

The participants placed particular emphasis on the role of educational institutions in strengthening cultural and scientific relations between Russia and Vietnam with the university representatives outlining their plans to enhance cooperation with Vietnamese universities, including student and professor exchanges, collaborative scientific projects and cultural programmes.

Moscow Polytechnic University maintains close collaboration with Vietnamese Education and Science representatives, and in 2024 our university joined the Russian-Vietnamese Technical University Consortium. Currently, over 40 students from Vietnam are enrolled at Moscow Polytechnic University and express a keen interest in mechanical engineering, computer science and IT programmes.
