Moscow Polytech Students Become Winners of Hackathon by World Class Scientific Center
The hackathon in programming for students is held Tyumen State University, World-Class Research Center “Advanced Digital Technologies” and Russian IT companies. The participants of the contest had to come up with solutions based on he domestic software products. Moscow Polytech students became the best in the “Pro” nomination.
The programming hackathon is held for the second consecutive year in the framework of the session-forum “Computer Engineering and Transformation of Traditional Industries”. The assignments are provided by “ASKON”, manufacturer of engineering software and developer of geometric kernel C3D Labs.
This year, the student teams had to construct an environment that is easy to handle and available for school students with the held of geometric kernel C3D – Russian development instrument for import-independent engineering software. So far, there are over 20 commercial and intra-corporate CAE created based on this kernel. The kernel can only prove itself as a developing tool in products based on it.
Moscow Polytech was represented by:
• Kuznetsova Veronika
• Shepovalova Polina
• Solovyov Artem
• Yaganov Alikhan
The students are now presented the chance to take up an internship program at C3DLabs.
A Mini-Cad app was developed in the framework of the hackathon. Mini-CAD is simulation environment for -8-grade school students The app is based on a simplified constructive method of solid geometry (CSG). The environment allows to learn more about the key principles of working with solid 3d objects, develop spatial and logic thinking, learn to read sketches with primitive geometric forms.
For reference: the project fin establishing an inter-university campus has been implemented in the framework of the federal project “Establishing a System of Modern Campuses” under the national project “Science and Universities” implied by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
