Moscow Polytech Shares Experience in African Student Adaptation at International Russia-Africa Expo 2025 Forum

Moscow Polytechnic University participated in the "Russia-Africa Expo 2025" business forum that opened on October 15 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The forum brought together key figures in international relations, representatives of Russian-African cooperation associations, and public figures. Participants included Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Platonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Burkina Faso Aristide Rapougddondba Ludovic Tapsoba, Ambassador of the Gambia Ibrahima Sisei, First Secretary of the Chad Embassy Kashallah Kasser Hassan, President of the Cameroonian Association in Russia Louis Gouwend, Academician of PANI and expert of the Russian-African Club at Lomonosov Moscow State University Sergey Chesnokov, Executive Secretary of the Expert Council for Developing and Supporting Comprehensive Partnership with African Countries Irina Petelyaeva, among others.

The participation of Rossotrudnichestvo Head Evgeny Primakov significantly elevated the forum's importance. He highlighted strengthened international ties and Russia's allocation of over 5,000 educational quotas for African students:

"The interest in Russian education is growing exponentially, and we see African youth as our partners," emphasized Evgeny Primakov during the plenary session.

Moscow Polytech also shared its experience in working with African youth. In her presentation, Alina Andrukh, Head of the International Office, detailed the university's comprehensive approach to adapting and socializing students from African countries. This includes the work of the "Inter Club" and implementation of projects such as "Polytech Ambassador," "Discovering Russia Together," "My Soul - Russia," and many others.

"Our university hosts students from 32 African countries. We focus on both adapting students in Moscow and conducting systematic preparatory work directly in their home countries. This approach helps us attract motivated learners who become gradually acquainted with Russia's educational system and culture, significantly easing their subsequent integration into the academic environment."

The university continues to develop successful adaptation practices while strengthening educational cooperation with African countries.
