Moscow Polytech Presents Its Best Books and Educational Programs in Teheran
In the framework of the Russian National Stand at the 35th Teheran Book Exhibition that took place from May 8 to 11, Moscow Polytech representatives held a presentation of the best educational programs and teaching methodology, shared the story of making “On the Way to Victory”, and participated in round tables devoted to establishing boom industry in Russia, Turkey, Iran and 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin. They also met the administration and students of Faculty of Technologies and Engineering of Islamic Azad University.
On May 8, the Press Center of the International House of Nationalities held a subject-oriented round table devoted to the discussion of the current state and prospects of developing book industry in Russia, Turkey and Iran. The Russian delegation was represented by Moscow Polytech creative director, president of the Russian Book Union committee for training and retraining of specialists in book industry Ekaterina Khokhlogorskaya. Experts paid emphasis on ever-growing role that AI plays in creation and promotion of book contents. Ekaterina invited all present to learn more about the results of the contest “Book of the Future” and join the upcoming international scientific-practical conference. Apart from that, at the round table a book by Anna Oreshkina “Dynamics of Book Form” was presented as an example of co-creative of Moscow Polytech students and teachers, and as a first product result of the large-scale industry-specific initiative of our University and the Russian Book Union “Book of the Future”.
On the Victory Day, May 9 which is a scared holiday for every Russian – Russian national stand devoted its whole program to the history of war, Victory, its importance in our culture and literature. On this day, Moscow Polytech presented a book called “on the Way to Victory” – book of memories dedicated to veterans of war – students, teachers, University graduates who created Moscow Polytech.
“For us as creators of the book, it`s important that it [book] continues to live: not only adults but also students read it. It became the foundation for the similarly-named play staged by Moscow Polytech Creative workshop with it premier taking place just the day before on May 7 in Moscow. Currently, big work is being carried out on the continuation of the book that`ll be commemorated and published to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. We`ll be happy to present it at 36th Teheran Book Exhibition”, – noted Ekaterina Khokhlogorskaya.
The book, poems and songs of the military years sparked lively interest of the audience – students and young specialists. Families with children who are learning Russian visited the stand. According to the speaker, the atmosphere during the presentation turned out very friendly and the words of the participants touching.
On May 10, the Press Center held a Round Table dedicated to A.S. Pushkin`s 225th anniversary, reflecting on the legacy he left in Russia and in Iran speaking in both theoretical and practical sense. The Russian delegation was represented by the director of the V.I. Dal Museum of History of Russian Literature Dmitry Bak and the head of Moscow Polytech preparatory department Firuz Shukurov. Firuz talked about effective methods of teaching Russian to international students that the University adopts based on the example of the novel “Evgeniy Onegin” that was staged in theater. The participants were Moscow Polytech preparatory course students who studied Russian for as long as 6 months only but managed to become the winners of the VIIth Festival of Russian Speech “Berega” in the nomination for the best theater play. On this day, Russian stand held a large-scale presentation “Moscow Polytech: Best Education in Russia”. The guest demonstrated the most interest in the methodology of project-based education, admission to the faculty of mechanical Engineering and Institute of Publishing and Journalism.
On May 11, Moscow Polytech representatives held along-hour meeting with the dean of the faculty of Technologies and Engineering under the Islamic Azad University, professor Hossain Mohbadi, teachers and students. Once again, attention was centered on project activity. Students expressed their desire to become project customers in the sphere of mechanical engineering and come the whole way from an idea to the final product result alongside with our students. In the course of the meeting, agreements were reached on regarding cooperation between the two largest universities in the sphere of education, science and culture. After that, the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed and joint projects held.
