On World Science Day, November 10, the State Corporation Rosatom held the international Global Atomic Quiz 2025. For the second year in a row, the “Art-Polytech” cluster of Moscow Polytechnic University served as the event’s central venue. This year, the quiz attracted around 46,000 people from 106 countries, including more than 200 Russian and international students who joined the onsite program at Moscow Polytech. The project continued to grow geographically — for the first time, students and schoolchildren from Vietnam took part. In the year marking the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry, the organizers dedicated the project to the past, present, and future of nuclear technologies.
The quiz covered a wide range of topics, including the history of the nuclear sector, modern technologies, and the prospects of nuclear energy. Participants learned how nuclear technologies are applied across various fields of human activity. The format included both online and offline events held at international venues such as information centers for atomic technologies, Russian Centers for Science and Culture, schools, and universities in Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, and other countries.
The list of 100 winners of the online quiz will be published on the project’s website no later than November 22. The winners will receive exclusive prizes (subscriptions and certificates for digital products), and the top three participants will be awarded a special prize — a trip to Russia.
About the project: Global Atomic Quiz is an international educational project that received the Russian national award “For Loyalty to Science” in 2023. Its mission is to promote nuclear technologies as a driver of sustainable and environmentally friendly development.
