A group of students from Moscow Poly under the supervision of the head of the “Technical Mechanics and Computer Modelling” department under the faculty of basic competencies Yulia Brovkina paid visit to “Aquafor” plant in St. Petersburg. The company has been specializing in developing and manufacturing hydro sorbents and filters for the last 30 years and has been taking the major part at the Russian market of producing water purification systems.
Moscow Poly cooperates cooperates with the company under the national Russian engineering hackathon. In the course of the visit, an agreement has been reached that as a partner-university Moscow Poly will participate in the hackathon once again – when it`s held at Moscow Poly.
In the course of the tour, the participants were introduced to the experimental units, tool-making facilities, tool-making facilities, robotics complexes. The hosts talked about aspects of producing hydro filters, issues that one may encounter in the production process, aspects of production process automation at the Russian enterprises and other countries.
“It`s crucial that students get an opportunity to ask any questions regarding equipment when it`s in the close proximity. The plant employees spared no effort to consult the participants. They understand that it is their future colleagues among them”, - noted Yulia Brovkina.
