Moscow Poly Students Celebrated National Unity Day

Moscow Poly international directorate employees held a welcoming meeting for the international students from non-CIS commemorate to the National Unity Day. The participants of the event learnt about the background of the holiday, cultural diversity of Russia, traditions, important historical dates, and participated in a quiz and received souvenirs.

At first, the students got acquainted and shared why they chose Russia as a country of study.

“I`ve always dreamt about coming to Russia to study. My friends told me a lot of good things about the life and education in this country. I`ve been here for several weeks only but I already like it”, - shared Udugama Livindu Bikhansit Korala from Sri-Lanka.

“I came to Moscow a little less than a month ago. I am studying Russian at the University to continue my studies at the faculty of Information Technologies. I really like the intercultural environment that is created at the University”, - Cakir JAmile from Turkey shares.

At a specially prepared workshop students painted one of the main symbols of Russia – matreshka.

Also, senior students shared their experience of studying at the University and prepared an entertainment program for the guys who were mostly impressed by the Russian songs.

When addressing the international students who came from non-CIS countries, the Vice-President for International Affairs Yulia Davydova wished them interesting studies, great achievements in learning Russian and meeting all the aims that they set before themselves.

This year, 37 students from Moscow Poly were enrolled to Moscow Poly.
