Moscow Poly ‘Moulding machinery and technology’ department students stood out in the National Russian Olympiad in foundry that took place at NUST MISIS on 19 April.
In total, more than 50 representatives from 19 Russian Universities that train professional moulders competed against each other. It`s worth pointing out that it was the first time when Moscow Poly students participated in such Olympiad but have proved themselves from the very start.
Polina Anenkova was placed seconded, whereas Vladimir Tarasov and Andrei Avilov entered the TOP-10.
Regarding such success, Mikhail Ershov, professor at the “Moulding machinery and technology” department, doctor of technical sciences commented:
“Participation of Moscow Poly students in the National Russian Olympiad in moulding” demonstrates the commitment of the “Moulding machinery and technology” department to its roots. The Department has 80 years of experience in training highly professional engineering and scientific staff in moulding”.
In 2002, the Department started preparing specialists in ‘Material Art Processing and Technology’ at the same time preserving ‘Moulding Technologies’ major. Over the last 20 years our students have been consistently conquering the winning places in Russian national Olympiads and show contests in the field of art. They have secured a reputation of masters in artistic and injection moulding. It warms our hearts that students have also shown decent results in moulding. We wish all department students further professional growth!”
