Moscow Poly Presented Electric Bikes at International Mechanical Engineering Scientific Contest
The main topic of the discussions at the International Mechanical Engineering Scientific Forum in 2022 became sustainable development of the Russian car industry under current realia. Moscow Poly speakers shared their experience regarding the work organization and performance of the Advanced Engineering School for electrical vehicle.
In addition to that, the electric bikes built at the University were displayed at a specialized exhibition of the scientific-technical elaborations in innovative transportation means and their components.
Moscow Poly AES deputy director Darya Iskhakova has shared with the participants the information about format of education, novelties and principles of work.
“The Moscow Poly AES for electrical vehicles is a new format of training highly-qualified ‘T-shaped’ specialists for developing electrical mechanical engineering in Russia based on digital module platform”, – shared Darya.
As a reminder, a “T-shaped” expert is a specialist in one or more spheres that also possesses knowledge in other spheres and able to be cooperative with experts fr om other spheres.
Darya Iskhakova noted that project and AES educational programs implementation only takes place in cooperation with industrial partners, that allows to create products necessary for the market in the first place.
The head of Moscow Poly Electrical Vehicle Transportation Lab Semyon Zemtsev said that the bikes that took part in a “Baikal Mile” speed festival had been upgraded.
When answering the question “What future will the bikes have at the University?” Semyon noted that there are plans for building a pre-series sports bike prototype”.
“We`re currently improving the MIG R2 and gathering data that will help us take into account all necessary information, after which we`ll go on to making a new generation bike”, – said Semyon Zemtsev.
The electro bikes produced at the University and especially an unusual form of MIG R have caused many questions from spectators. Students who participated in making the bikes shared with those interested technical features and records.
Mechanical Engineering Scientific Forum is one of the largest engineering venues in Russia wh ere the mutual interests of the leading manufacturing enterprises and scientific and research, engineering and educational institutions are shaped.
For reference: the forum that has been taking place in Russia since 2013 is organized by “NAMI” State Research Center of the Russian Federation that the University strategic partner, as well as the Association of Mechanical Engineers.
