Moscow Polytechnic University has held “Actual Problems of Teaching Students Foreign Languages at the Non-linguistic Universities” national science practical conference for the fourth time. The Forum has attracted attention of scholars and teachers from different Moscow universities. The event was held by the “Foreign Languages” department under Moscow Poly faculty of “Basic Competencies”.
The event that has already become traditional was aimed at touching upon issues on foreign languages teaching methodology, sharing expertise and best practices.
30 speakers that delivered their reports in such field areas as “Philology” and “Pedagogics and Digital Education”.
The philological session was held online and focused mainly on introduction of linguistic and psycholinguistic research problems into discussion. The most prominent reports were devoted to building discourse competence in the process of teaching students professional communication in foreign languages.
In the course of the “Pedagogics and Digital Education” online session, speakers exchanged their experience. Those delivering their speech shared the results of their research in methodology of teaching foreign languages, as well as the background they have got in educational process digitalization at their universities.
As a result, 30 works were submitted for publication.
