Moscow Poly and RAS Institute of Transport Problems Sign Cooperation Agreement
Moscow Polytechnic University and the Solomenko Institute of Transport Problems under the Russian Academy of Science (IPT RAS, St. Petersburg) have signed a cooperation agreement on 30 June. The document was signed by the acting vice-president for research and elaborations, Anton Nalivaiko, on behalf of Moscow Poly, and director of IPT RAS, Igor Malygin, on behalf of RAS. The agreement stipulates cooperation in the sphere of Avtonet national technological initiative implementation.
To recall, the national technological initiative (NTI) at Moscow Poly is implemented by the ‘Avtonet’ infrastructure center (“Avtonet” research institute).
The parties discussed the cooperation prospects for the upcoming events and projects. In particular, making joint applications for scholarships and carrying out research activities in promising areas, as well as participating in the “Russian transport: problems and prospects ” international conference held by RAS and publications on scientific journals devoted to the transport development.
According to the RAS director, Igor Malygin, the research activity at the Institute labs is carried out in such areas as problems of transport systems security and organization problems, transport resource saving and environmental issues, as well as smart transport systems. Moscow department of the Institute is engaged in transport systems development projections.
“All these problems are close to the spheres that Moscow Poly is engaged in, that`s exactly why we decided to work together with RAS on achieving Russian transport development goals”, - said Anton Nalivaiko.
“Among other points contained in the agreement was expert analytical support to Avtonet NTI area, implementing national programs in the sphere of digital development and implementation of the roadmap in regulatory framework improvement for overcoming Avtonet NTI regulatory and technological barriers.
The enterprises will jontly engage professional resources, develop professional community and raise awareness about NTI Avtonet. Also, shared seminars and scientific conferences are planned be held in the future.
“Cooperation with the University is also crucial in terms of human resources ‘re-generation’. It`s an opportunity to take a closer look at master and post-graduate students engaged in fundamental and practical research in the transport sphere”, - noted Igor Malygin.
For reference: Moscow Polytechnic University received the scholarship granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and “NTI Platform” for establishing the best NTI infrastructure center in the ‘AutoNet’ nomination. The University has established the ‘Avtonet’ infrastructure center. Its services are aimed at ensuring an active activity of the branch community in the sphere of “Avtonet” market, including participation in international organizations and social networks performance.
