More than 100 people joined the “Donor’s Day” campaign of Moscow Polytech

On February 14, students and employees of Moscow Polytech joined the “Donor’s Day” campaign. During the event, the volunteers collected more than 30 liters of blood, and four of them were included in the bone marrow donors register.

The organizers were activists of the university jointly with partners – the Blood Center named after O.K. Gavrilov of the Department of Healthcare of Moscow, the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors of RNIMU named after N.I. Pirogov and the metropolitan regional department of “Soyuz Mash of Russia”.

As a result, more than 70 employees and students of Moscow Polytech participated in the campaign, as well as other volunteers who donated their blood to the “Dobro Center” of the facility at Pavla Korchagina. Those who were included in the bone marrow donors register of the RNIMU named after N.I. Pirogov, can become donors in the future, in case of the genotype match with the patient who needs bone marrow transplantation, told experts.
