“Knizhnyy Mayak Peterburga”
“Knizhnyy Mayak Peterburga” – is a large intellectual festival for reading Petersburgers and Russian-speakers Internet users, and a unique socially important non-commercial organization. More than 150 events with 100 000 visitors and participants will take place from 8th till 10th of October. The festival will be held in a mixed format ON-LIFE, which will allow thousands of hundreds spectators to follow all the festival events in real time. The lucky ones will visit the festival personally on more than 40 sites in Saint-Petersburg (libraries, bookshops, cultural and social spaces). The organizers of the festival highlight its multichannel options, which will cover the bigger amount of visitors thanks to social media. The topics of the events: culture, education, entertainment, history, business, professional sphere, projects for children, teenagers, young adults, parents and etc.
“The strategic aim of the festival is to create conditions, when 80% of Petersburgers and Russians in general will read at least 12 books a year. By uniting all book-lovers on the festival platform, we implement informational, digital and social transformation in the library sphere and book industry” – Denis Kotov.
