During the cosmic week, Moscow Poly held a tour around the Museum of Consmonautics for its international students where they learn about how this industry was born and developed in the USSR and Russia.
The Museum is located on the Alley of Astronauts At VDNKHa. It was opened on April 10, 1981 – the opening was commemorated to the 20th anniversary of the Yury Gagarin`s flight to space. The Museum mainly strives for promoting cosmonautics and preserving scientific-technical heritage of the Russian space epoch.
During the excursion, students observed a variety of exhibits related to the history of cosmonautics, rocket and space equipment prototypes, personal belongings of those who conquered stellar spaces, as well as designers and archive documents and etc.
Students noted that they were impressed by the scale and historical value of what they saw. They asked many questions, wondered about the details of space flights and scientific research.
