Moscow Poly held a panel discussion entitled “Mechanical Engineering – the Choice of the Successful” that was commemorated to celebrations of the Day of Mechanical Engineer that are usually held in the end of September. The discussion was held by the faculty of mechanical engineering and Russian Union of Mechanical Engineers. The audience comprised the University students and employees, as well as representatives of the University industrial partners.
The Moscow Affiliation of Russian Union of Mechanical Engineers deputy head Evgeny Baranov was given the floor before the discussion. In his speech he highlighted the necessity of training new qualified specialists for all sector of the industry. In the course of the discussion it was also mentioned how important an organized production of the goods in demand is for a successful import phase-out.
The dean of the faculty of chemical technology and biotechnology Yulia Danilchuk, as well as the faculties of mechanical engineering, Urban Studies and Urban Economy employees took the floor to congratulate those present.
The representatives of the industrial partners – Russian Union of Mechanical Engineers,
ZiO-Podolsk Car Manufacturing Factory (“RosAtom” state corporation), V.V. Chernyshyov Moscow Car Manufacturing Enterprise, Academician N.A.Pilyugin Research and Production Center for Automation and Instrumentation, and “GigroMashService” joined in and congratulated the guest, and showed them the presentation videos about their enterprises.
Moscow Poly graduates, in their turn, shared their experience of working at large partnering companies and what privileges the workers of the industry have,
In the course of the panel discussion, the partners have answered plenty of questions asked by students. The latter ones were interested in their further employment prospects and working conditions on enterprise, as well as prospects that Russia has for mechanical engineering and the influence of external factors on industry in general.
It was planned to continue developing further mutually beneficial cooperation for meeting the demands posed by mechanical engineering in terms of trained specialists competitive on the labor market.
Moreover, it was announced that there is a “Week without Faregates” project that will be taking place starting from 10 October and allow all willing to pay visit to various companies specializing in mechanical engineering.
