Innopolis” the are presented more than 100 painting and graphic works upon the results of the summer plein-air practice.
Plein-air – is the work on a picturesque canvas or graphics in the open air. This year at plein-air, the students of Moscow Polytech visited the Sviyazhsk island-city – a touristic pearl of Tatarstan. Also under the leadership of experienced coaches, they painted the surroundings and places of interest of Kazan and its satellite city Innopolis.
As the employees of the Department “Drawing and Painting” note, plein – air is a serious school for an artist of any age. Outside the usual walls of workshops, the young artists face new tasks: they identify color-tonal relations, convey the play of light and shadow. Besides that, the students see in the work in the open air the opportunity to find and elaborate their own style of artistic expression. The main and basic topic of plain-airs of tasks is a landscape.
During the work of the exhibition for the University students, the educational activities in the form of excursions are conducted with respect to the following topics: laws of perspective in landscape construction, compositional features of landscape in painting, spatial constructions in graphic landscape, and compositional features of landscape in various graphic techniques.
The exhibition will last until November 29 at the museum's exhibition area of the history of graphic arts, book publishing and MSUPA named after Ivan Fyodorov at the address: Mikhailovskaya Str., Bldg.7.
