“Temperature Matters”: World Cold Day at Moscow Polytech

On the World Cold Day at Moscow Polytech, the discussions will be organized about the influence of refrigeration, conditioning and heat pumps on the aspects a microclimate quality in premises. June 26 was not chosen by chance – it was a birthdate of a famous scientist Lord Calvin, who created an absolute temperature scale.

The very initiative of the celebration belongs to a famous expert in the industry Steven Gill. Together with like-minded people, he managed to unite the efforts of the profile unions and social organizations worldwide.

The main objectives of the event is strengthening ties with industrial partners and popularization of the Refrigeration, Cryogenic Equipment and Life Support Systems Program (16.03.03).

On June 26, the following guests will join the discussions at Moscow Polytech: Vice-President for Academic Affairs Gyuzel Sharipzyanova, Head of Low Temperature Engineering Department named after P.L. Kapitsa Dmitry Nekrassov, Chairman of “Rossouzkholodprom” Association Yuri Dubrovin, Managing Partner of DANTEX GROUP Alexander Mitin, a representative of the refrigeration community of India Professor Milind Atrey, among others.


Let us remind you that the Department of Low Temperature Engineering named after P. L. Kapitsa is engaged in training specialists in refrigeration, cryogenic and climatic technology. The Department was established in 1944 under the initiative of a soviet physician, a Nobel Prize Laureate Pyotr Kapitsa.
