Moscow Polytech Students Invited to Attend International Conference Design Day 2050
On June 29, Tochka Kipeniya “Kommuna” is going to hold a V International Conference Design Day 2050. At the event, designers, students, representatives of business, government and media will discuss development tendencies in the industry, form a new vision of industrial design. According to the organizers, for the young generation, that`ll be a chance to learn more about the industry, make new acquaintances and immerse into the agenda of industrial design.
The event will be opened up by the director general at 2050.LAB Daria Topilskaya, chief designer Alexei Sharshakov and director for development Elena Panteleeva. In TED format, speakers will share how the studio was created, talk about flagship projects and educational initiatives of the company.
Afterwards, the audience will see the finals of the Russian national contest in digital design “Design Challenge” where the best young designers of the country are to present their projects to the jury and audience in real time.
In the business track, industry representatives will form the vision of modern industrial design and rules that help implement successful projects in the form of a dynamic show. Igor Namakonov, the director general at Federation of Creative Industries will lead the discussion.
In the course of the session “Design for Business”, companies will present their cases that are successfully adopted in the sphere of industrial design when developing new products. It`s a Russian elevator manufacturer “MEL”, brand of national consumption “Spin&Clean” and company “VIT Medical” that develops a technological platform for treatment of wounds.
The business track will end with presentation of international speakers – Italian industrial designer and mentor Umberto Jiraudo and the deputy director at Center for Design and Innovations unde Chinese Academy of Arts, deputy director general at Design Intelligence Award (DIA) Na Siong.
