Moscow Poly Students Can Demonstrate Skills in Mathematic Modelling Contest

The “Rosatom” corporation and “MEPHI” national nuclear research university announce the “Russian National Olympiad in Mathematic Modelling – 2023”. Moscow Poly student – 3-year and above – can apply for participation before April 9.

The Olympiad is held in the form of competition between the students in creative application of the “Logos” professional competencies software. The Olympiad includes several stages:

I – theoretical – stage takes the form of online testing at the “Vector” platform. The test will include 35 questions in mathematical modelling and engineering analysis in the chosen track. Those participants who successfully passed the first selection stage will get access to the “Logos” data base to prepare themselves for the next tour.

II – practical – stage is about finding solutions to cases with the help of “Logos” software prepared specially for the Olympiad track in “Aero-Hydro”, “Resistance” or “Development”. This stage will be held online.

Those who passed both I and II stages will get a chance to participate in a Summer School where students will be able to undertake an intensive program in “Logos” majoring in the track field that they chose.

The final in-person stage will last in the course of several days at the Lab venue under the “MEPHI” center for supercomputer modelling. The participants are expected to find solution to the case in their track.

The participation in the Olympiad is free. One has to apply before April 9, 2023 on the website of the event.
