At the SBI The Center for Youth Employment the issue of efficient employment for graduates was discussed

October 19 at the SBI “The Center for Youth Employment” an HR forum “The trends in development of the labor market for young people” was held with support of Department of Labor and Social Security for Population of the Moscow City. Representatives of the Moscow Poly, the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF, the Moscow Government, the Department of Labor and Social Security of Population of the capital, and, as well, HR specialists of major companies discussed requirements of employers to young specialists, systems of youth motivation and other current issues.

During the 90s and in early 2000s educational organizations lived in one world, and the industry – in another one. In order to employ the graduates, companies had to train them again, according to their needs. Now the situation has been considerably improved, owing to a dialogue of the universities’ representatives with potential employers. This HR forum is one of platforms where the universities, the business and representatives of the government are shaping a common strategy for solution of urgent problems.

Head of the Moscow Poly Center for Development of Corporate Relations Zori Gumashian made a presentation at the forum, speaking of the formats of interaction between a university and an employer. Introduction of project activity from the first course, building of an individual educational track for each student, attracting specialists from the industry to forming of educational programs – all that allows the Moscow Poly to train specialists who are in demand. “We do understand that it is more beneficial for an organization to participate in the educational process by providing production cases and assisting in implementation of student projects, than to invest in retraining a young employee”, - says Zori Gumashyan. – “That is why we invite representatives of business to cooperate with us in training of personnel”.

An Advisor to Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Mikhail Fedorenko, Head of the consulting group BCG21 and of direction “Business psychology” of the Institute of Practical Psychology of the HSE Maksim Stishkin, and President of the business school of the RUIE  Evgeniya Shokhina took part in the plenary session of the forum as well.
