The Resources Center of the Moscow Poly will train volunteers for the WorldSkills Kazan-2019

March 1 an agreement was signed at the Moscow Poly on creation of a Resources Center on the basis of the University for training volunteers, supposed to participate in the 45th World Championship of professional skills according to the standards of the WorldSkills to be held in Kazan in 2019. The cooperation agreement was signed by Deputy Director General of the ANO “Directorate of sport and social projects Aleksandr Karpov and Acting Rector of the Moscow Poly Vladimir Miklushevskiy.

After the official ceremony of signing the document the parties shook hands and exchanged souvenirs with symbols of the WorldSkills. “It is especially pleasant that a university, which has been cooperating with the movement for a long time and holds its own internal championship, has become a volunteers’ center and will provide the work of volunteers at the WorldSkills-2019”, - said First Deputy General Director of the Union “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)” Igor Superekin. Vladimir Miklushevskiy thanked for the trust in the university, expressed by the agreement, and emphasized that the Moscow Poly not just supports the movement, but also teaches the students according to the WorldSkills formats.

According to the results of the all-Russian open contest, the Volunteers’ Center of the Moscow Poly got a right to represent Moscow at the Championship in 2019, as one of 15 centers for training volunteers all over Russia. According to Aleksandr Karpov, the number of participants in the contest for participation has been growing, and the best of the best will go to Kazan. But the mission of the Resources Center is not just training and organization of the volunteers’ work. An important task is to disseminate the values and standards of the WorldSkills movement among students.

Deputy General Director of the ANO “Directorate of sport and social projects” met with students-volunteers of the Moscow Poly. He congratulated them on getting the right to represent Moscow at the Championship and answered questions about the rules of enrolling to the “Volunteers Academy” to be held in Kazan next fall.

A guided tour to the laboratories of the Moscow Poly Center for Engineering Development – Formula Student and Smart Moto, the centers of the WorldSkills competences – was arranged for the guests of the university. Aleksandr Karpov highly appreciated the modern equipment, on which the student projects are made, and emphasized that it will allow the graduates to be really in demand at the labor market.
