The Moscow Poly took part in a meeting on the project Locomotives of Growth

November 20 an extended meeting of the public council of the project “Locomotives of Growth” was held at the forum “Russia looking to the future”. Experts, representatives of state corporations and development institutes, public organizations, scientific community and universities participated in the discussion. The Moscow Poly was represented by the Acting Rector Ivan Garbuziuk and Director of the Higher School of Management and Law Nikolay Fedorov.

“Locomotives of Growth” is aimed at optimization of the industrial system and rendering support to breakthrough high-tech industries in the framework of the concept “Industrialization 4.0”. According to Nikolay Fedorov, the Moscow Poly is considered as one of the sites for the program implementation.

In the framework of the meeting the priority directions for Russia development in the near future were discussed. Among them there is shaping of the new national industries. According to the coordinator of the project Denis Kravchenko, due to a number of historical and cultural reasons a considerable part of developments by scientists, of breakthrough “startups” are compelled to work abroad and strengthen the potential of foreign economies. Kravchenko emphasized that to overcome this problem it is necessary to define priorities and form new national industries – the locomotives of growth for the economy. The project coordinator named machine-tool building, industrial sensorics and robotics among the main breakthrough industries.

The project “Locomotives of Growth”, the objectives of which are supposed to be implemented from 2017 to 2022, is aimed at strengthening of the national economy and development of industry. Rendering support to the small and medium-size business, elimination of administrative barriers, labor migration within the country, promotion of Russian interests in the BRICS countries, import substitution, and production of high-tech manufactures – all these issues are in the focus of the project, which has established its centers for discussion of the main directions of economic development.
